We are developing an innovative product for our industry packed with new technology that involves robots, precise x-y-z motions, vision, complex algorithms, and HMI/GUI interfaces. We are looking for bright, talented, energetic engineers to join our team!

Position Summary:

Under minimal direction of an assigned lead or manager, a mechanical engineer designs, develops and documents mechanical assemblies or subassemblies for automated systems.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  1. Works to improve existing products by analyzing and finding root cause, designing solutions that will not adversely impact existing similar products in the product line.
  2. Project management on existing and new products, including timelines, schedules, design reviews, and writing of functional specs.
  3. Assist in developing and implementing design procedures for new device packages.
  4. Research, select and test vendor products.
  5. Research and generate solutions for ECP’s and assist in all functions required to generate and process ECN’s.
  6. Support manufacturing floor and machine shop as required.
  7. Interface with customers and sales on projects as required.
  8. Intermediate to advanced skills in Solidworks.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Provides work leadership or technical guidance to lower-level employees.


  • Education:
    Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university. M.S. degree preferred.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of two to six years experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or zero to two years with a Master’s degree in machine design, working with designing gears, racks, mechanisms and movements. Project management experience on existing products including timelines, schedules, design reviews and writing functional specifications. Broad knowledge of electro-mechanical systems required.
  • Skills/Technical Requirements:
    Knowledge of solid engineering practices and the ability to follow existing guidelines and processes. Familiarity with robotics, aluminum and thermos plastic machining, hardened gears, thermal concerns, wear on materials and aging. Well versed in mean time between failure (MTBF) and failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA). Analysis and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skill. Ability to give direction to designers and drafters. Ability to work independently on projects and interface with other team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
